Celebrating One Year.

So, today is Lawn Party's first birthday! Whaat??? It seems like just yesterday that the first post went up. I remember being so incredibly nervous to hit "Publish Post," with that first one.

I am so so crazy thankful for all of you that come here for a bit each day. It makes me smile a real big smile every time I read your comments. Thank you for all of your support and encouragement over the past year! I truly appreciate all of your love.

Ummm and how cute is my  husband? These cake bites were waiting for me this morning with this little note! Yes, I had to take a bite of one before I actually took the picture. Plus, one might of or might of not been eaten for breakfast. Shhh..Don't tell!

It is official! I am over the cold, the snow, the slush and the ice! Not sure why I am already over it because it really hasn't even started yet in Colorado. But I am! However, I am so in love with this photo. How much fun does that look?

Longest Day of the Year.

Longest day of the year = my favorite day of the year! So about a week ago, DJ PJ posted pretty spectacular playlist called "Whatever Beach" and it has been rockin' my world. Plus I think these photos by Ryan Tatar compliment this sound track for summer quite nicely. Enjoy!

For My Mama.

So, where do I even begin? Wherever I do, it is not going to come out right or even really truly get across what I am trying to say. So, I will start off by saying my mom really is my hero, my inspiration, my best friend. She has taught me how to be myself, how to express myself, the importance of giving and kindness.

However, Lawn Party would not "be" with out her. She has taught be the essence of style. This is dressing for you, your body and to always be classy. I try to always follow these, but tend to have slip ups. Sorry, Mom. She has taught me that you can never have to many pairs of shoes, you can never have to many white button down shirts and that if you like the way something fits, buy it in a few colors. No matter what she always has that "oh so put together" look.

I love, seek out and am inspired by home finds because of this lady. My mom really knows how to make a house feel like a home and to make it beautiful all at once. She has taught me that you can always make something feel new in your house with a can of spray paint. Haha! Last but not least, always have fresh flowers when you are having company.

I  miss the beach so much right now. I feel like it is the one thing that this crazy mind of mine thinks about these days. I swear I can hear it, smell it, feel it. However, I am land locked for now! Luckily these beautiful polaroids will get me through the day.
